Good question, not sure. On one hand it’s not technically a direct replacement since this is 12s only, yet on the other hand this has more goodies.

Bar and chain oil is the lifeblood of a chainsaw as the saw cannot run without it for very long. Throughout the testing, most of the saws oiled readily, but one of the DeWalt 40V Max saws stopped oiling twice over the months. I also experienced chronic problems with the Greenworks Pro.

There were just two areas where Echo didn’t come out on top. It’s toward the bottom of the pack for weight—hardly a major issue in this class of tools. It also comes with plastic bucking spikes rather than the steel ones I prefer.

Additional Notes: This heavy saw lagged behind the rest of the full-size saw category as well as several of the more compact models in the test in both general performance and cutting power. The extra height of the 9.0 Ah battery pack keeps the saw from cutting at full depth, limiting cuts to about 2 1/4 inches (–1/8”).

An oldie but goodie—but past its prime. This model from Bosch has been around long enough to have participated in all my cordless circ saw tests during the past decade.

I simply love the rip fence, blade height adjustment, and tool storage on the SawStop JSS-MCA. The included Gravity Rise stand included with the Bosch Reaxx remains my favorite, however. What exactly do the words “With that said” add to the above review? Nothing. Leave them out, and the meaning is the same. This phrase is much over-used. In most cases, either “however,” or “but,” will usually give the same meaning, without the fingernails-on-a-blackboard effect of any of the other three phrases, (With that said, having said that, and that being said). The Greenworks Pro 60V Chainsaw failed to get any momentum out of the starting gate. It scored poorly in each of the performance tests, and its ergonomics and feature set didn’t compare as well to the others.
