Truck trailer, on the other hand, declined by 3% on trucks and 5% on trailers and this is the effect of what had happened in China. We have growth numbers here reported from North America, but the decline comes all from China, and to some degree, from Europe. But overall, a 1% decline for the sales of Haldex.

Usually, I time circular saw trials with my homemade timing rig made of a straightedge with start and stop microswitches embedded along one side and wired to a hacked stopwatch. Unfortunately, in this test, I had enough saws that would not guide true against a straightedge so the rig couldn’t be utilized. A few saws pulled away from the guide and missed the second switch. Currently, Missouri is attempting to pass a bill restricting train length. Union Pacific is acting irresponsibly and ignoring its obligation to the citizens of Arkansas. Precision railroading has been proven a short term success and a long term failure as a business plan everywhere its been implemented. Its implementations have proven to be a detriment to commerce, and a safety disaster. UP reported close to 6 billion in revenue last year. They also took home a hefty 5.9 billion in tax reductions due to the most recent tax cuts. This illustrates how these are changes not out of necessity but pure greed. There are attachment points for fenders, a bento box, a rear rack and five water bottle cages, two in the usual spot, one on each fork leg and one beneath the down tube.

For years I dealt with the drawbacks of leaf springs on my other flatfenders. I was regularly bending and breaking leaf springs. Axlewrap was also a real issue, to the tune of having destroyed several driveshafts, yokes, and a transmission case. On the GPW, I wanted to eliminate these problems. Adapting the Land Rover radius arms and Fox (ridefox.com) coilover shocks eliminated the problems I had with the leaf springs, but it’s a comparatively complicated suspension design that requires a bit more thinking and fabrication. It’s much easier to hang a set of leaf springs. Not having any axlewrap has been the biggest advantage of my suspension selection, although it does ride very smooth. I’ve since increased the spring rates slightly. I started with 200 in-lb springs all around, but they did not support the weight and ride height I wanted to maintain without excessive coilover preload. I later switched to 200 over 275 coils up front and 200 over 250 coils in the rear. I run about 1 inch of preload.

The traffic isn’t merging from South Sound. They have the right of way. It’s all the people using Old Crewe Road as a shortcut who they THINK they have the right of way that cause the traffic problems in the evenings. Don’t let them out or make Old Crewe Road for local traffic only.

And Europe. As I said, truck build a bit up, but trailer build, which is more important for our business, is down versus ’18.
