Echo took first place in the speed test with a decent gap to second place and never looked back. It left every other saw in its wake in run time and efficiency, using only a 4.0 amp hour battery. It was also the only chainsaw in the group to receive Very Good ratings for both bucking and felling grips. Its performance left a 15-point gap to second place.

Disagree with #1 reason to buy one. As with all ‘midsize’ trucks, including mine, these are quite small inside and there is virtually no mpg or purchase cost advantage over a ‘rightsize’ half ton truck.

A Colorado Crew Cab with a Long Box is nearly 19 feet long. It’s as long as a Silverado Regular Cab with a long box, and just a few inches shorter than a Silverado Double Cab. And compared to the 205-inch (17-foot) first-generation Colorado, the current model has gone well beyond pushing boundaries for what can actually be interpreted as mid-size. Thing is, though, that the full sizers just keep getting more and more gargantuan, which keeps everything in perspective. Still, there’s little doubt that there’s room for a Chevy truck beneath the Colorado.

Let me then move to Page 12, sales per region. We have already touched it. We had a strong sales in North America, improving — growing by 6%.

Price is one factor. It might be hard to justify the considerable expense for a seldom-used tool. But if you’re already invested in a cordless tool platform, system compatibility is likely of more concern. The reader who has already invested in a ton of tools, batteries, and chargers from XYZ brand is probably reading with keen interest in how the XYZ saw performed. If it is good enough, that’s probably going to be the one he buys, regardless of its exact placement in the ratings. This is one reason we comprehensively test and evaluate all of the models in the shootout. We don’t do eliminations which focus the most attention solely on the highest performing tools, which are oftentimes the highest priced, too.

Skilsaw goes with an LED shadow cutline indicator – a move that I prefer over lasers that need calibration.

And to be fair also, the point of the USB adapter was in case there was partially a need to address bugs, which turns out there wasn’t.

Despite the additional clutch pedal, there’s no separate gear stick included with the T150 Pro, so you’ll be using those paddle shifters – unless you buy the TH8A shifter separately. That costs a whopping extra £129.99, though – which compares badly with the £44.99 for Logitech’s stick. The TH8A can be converted to a sequential shifter, however.
