If I’m not mistaken it looks like the weight of Sram’s new 2x disc system is 2,520g where as Shimano’s DA disc system weighs around 2385g. I know there is an additional cog at on the cassette, but I’m surprised that Sram’s groupset now weighs more than Shimano’s. I wonder if that will influence any purchasing decisions despite Sram having an extra cog?

Most recently was Wahoo with those trainer failures, then now this from Sram. They may succeed with this kind of pricing model, but i for one ain’t buying it.

Power on a jobsite table saw is important—very important. Accuracy, however, is equally critical—particularly for anyone doing trim. A rough framer may be able to get away with slightly imperfect cuts, but if you’re making a set of built-ins or performing some other on-site carpentry work, you want your cuts to be true. The table saw fence has everything to do with that.

The Greenworks Digi Pro and Kobalt saws have electronic power buttons which add a distinct step, while the Echo and DeWalt saws were designed with mechanical lockout switches (with DeWalt’s being the most foolproof). But with the EGO, Greenworks Pro, and Oregon saws, ou can pretty much just grab and go.

The T3PA pedal set is a real step up from the two-pedal board you get with the T150. Sadly, it’s still made mainly from plastic, but it feels sturdy enough. The big upgrade is the conical brake mod that’s supplied in the box for optional installation. Screwing this in gives a more realistic, progressive feel to the brake pedal.

The discs are made from cast iron castings and are machined to tight tolerances and high surface finishes in low volumes. Alcon currently machines approximately 500 – 600 discs per week in the new cell. Brake disc diameters vary in size from 200mm to 405mm depending on the end application.
