Reversing the electrical flow throws the motor into reverse long enough to provide the friction needed to stop the rotating blade. As a result, the saw blade stops much more quickly than it otherwise would on its own. It’s easy to imagine the potential damage a blade spinning for 12 seconds after the cut could do—particularly with larger, heavier saws. Equal danger exists with both circular saws and angle grinders which can be set down while the blade still spins.

The market share of traditional brake is still large and the complete replacement of traditional brake still need a long time. Correspondingly, new brake technologies may appear in the future.

With all the variables involved within sheet metal, operators still can find it difficult to produce parts, even with a state-of-the-art press brake. They need to know what the sheet metal tolerance variables are and how to compensate for them, especially when single-piece jobs or small batches require operators to achieve the correct bend angles and dimensions on the first try. They should be able to compensate for some of these variables using functions incorporated into the press brake and its controller—but as for other variables, not so much.

I have had the 2017 ZR2 extended cab with V6 and 8-speed for well over a year and love it. There has been zero issues. Not a family unit obviously. More like an off-road sports car. It gets over 20 mpg and you can park it anywhere . I haven’t done any mods and don’t plan to . Traded a boring 16 F-150 for it with no regrets . Would never buy a rice burner and accept domestics faults to stay true to my beloved country.

So you’ve added a state-of-the-art press brake, and you’ve spent a small fortune on precision-ground tooling. The press brake manufacturer promised that this new machine would repeat in microns, but for all your troubles, research, and due diligence, you’re still having the same issues that you’ve always had: inconsistent bend angles and part dimensions. Your operators struggle as they experience part-to-part variations, and your expected production goals are still just a pipe dream. You’re now second-guessing your decision to purchase all that new equipment.

The strength with which the speakers are driven also contributes to any amp’s overall sound, causing compression, the enhancement of certain frequencies (which displays any particular speaker’s character), and speaker distortion in and of itself. If you reduce the power to the speaker (as master volume controls, output attenuators, and reampers do)—even if the tone and distortion content remain the same—you change that sound. Period.

The welding process itself couldn’t be eliminated—and why automate the process if the work had to be straightened in a secondary operation anyway? Robots would simply push the bottleneck in front of the straightening press.

While many such systems can indeed provide significant volume reduction while retaining a reasonably accurate rendition of your fully cranked tone, most do also introduce some artifacts, which are often felt as much as heard.
