This is not the power meter I’m looking for… I was surprised by the announcement today, and for a moment worried that I had made a mistake ordering an Easton PM, but then I read the press… the power meter is going to need to come down an additional $2-300 before being disposable is justifiable. I had assumed this was a DM power meter from the photos, and I guess the crankset is DM, but not how I thought the power meter would work. I know Quarq’s expertise is focused on spider-based PMs, so less surprising in hindsight.

Toyota has been lazy but they could afford to be till GM re entered. Now that Ford is here it will be even more competitive between all and you will see soon a refreshed Hzm and next gen a couple years later. Toyota will have to make a move as their age is showing. Ford will do well with Ranger loyalty as GM has but they will not have a easy path as competition picks up.

5. The superb six-speed gearbox has had 5th, and 6th gears lengthened. With greater headroom comes the need for longer ratio gearing when holding the throttle wide open, on the massively long straightaway found at Mugello Circuit. Clicking through the gearbox is sublime, as its incredibly well-sorted thanks to the beautiful up/down quickshifter functions, one of the best I’ve used to date. The kill-times are matched perfectly for hard riding and not once did I find a false neutral. Just click a gear up or down, and you’ll be on your merry way.

Just seeing simple text “on/off” or “forward/reverse” is much nicer. But it probably wasn’t sexy enough looking for the product manager.
