The result was four lines representing, we believe, the edges of four particular blade teeth. The finger bled a bit, but the blade did successfully drop below the surface. Given the mathematics and trigonometry behind a four-tooth result, you can reasonably assume that the Bosch Reaxx would allow up to a 1/4-inch depth of cut if the speed of impact was aggressive enough.

DeWalt’s 40V Max chainsaw moved up to second place with 92 cuts using its 6.0 amp hour battery. Finishing off the podium, EGO completed 91 cuts on its 5.0 amp hour battery.

Colorado advantagesIf you spend more time on the road than in the woods, the Colorado is more comfortable, quieter and will treat you in a more civilized way than the Gladiator, the hard-top roof of which lets air in to create wind noises at more than 100 km/h (a situation that’s even more extreme if you opt for the soft roof). The Chevy pickup also offers more onboard technology and more equipment for less money.

Let me move to Page #3 where we have a business summary. And first quarter continued with a strong growth in North America. We reported 6% growth in North America, but we have faced the decline, a softer market predominantly in Asia. But we need to keep in mind that our business in China had a huge success due to the change of brake regulations last year. We had growth of 88% last year versus 2017. Still comparing toward ’17, Asia had grown with 40%. So it’s still on a good growth mode versus ’17 in China. But I will come back to the brake regulation changes and the impact in China.

Right now the Logitech G29 plus shifter makes more sense as a three-pedal setup. Or step up to the superb Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition, if you can afford to splash the extra cash.

Ridgid notches a third place finish as the only saw to include an independent blade height lock. The adjustment wheel raises and lowers with multiple full turns like most saws, but integrates a lock into the center. For the bevel adjustment, the outside of the height adjustment wheel turns a rack and pinion style system to accurately change the blade angle – a feature Makita shares.

Finally, the same ‘security’ rules that were in place for the original eTAP apply here with the addition of Bluetooth Smart. Previously, all components could only be connected to one other set of components. Meaning, the derailleurs would only talk to a single set of shifters at a time, thus preventing someone from pairing up an extra set and overriding someone mid-race. In order to complete that setup you had to press the physical button on the shifter/derailleur itself to start the pairing process. This forced someone to have physical access to the bike.
