The Thesis OB1 comes with bar tape that matches the color of the frame, in the case of our review sample, a brilliant blue.

Don’t think of the electric brake as the first line of defense. The operator always serves that role. Staying safe on the jobsite starts with your mindset. As with any tool, it’s possible for this mechanism and/or the blade guard to fail, so the brake only serves as a backstop to careful use. The electric blade brake (or electronic brake) has likely been the invisible guardian of many tradesmen. Be sure it stays in working order.

More complex reactive units like the Rivera Rock Crusher or Universal Audio OX Box use elements that purport to interact with your amp the way an actual speaker does, and are more expensive as a result. The brakes feature an integrated 2.5mm cinch bolt for clamping the cable. This is a nice feature aesthetically, and while it likely saves a bit of weight, it did have a knack for chewing up the cable when really tightened down. This can be problematic when re-bolting the cable after initial cable stretch. I can imagine the fraying that would occur if a barrel adjuster were not installed and the clamp needed to be undone for wheel removal. Inflating the tire after installation would eliminate this problem, however it would not be ideal in a pit scenario during a race.

Trailer brake controller? I’m quite sure that about 3% of anyone buying these trucks will tow a trailer that needs brakes.

The quick tooling changeover is pretty important because Datum does quite a few of them over a shift. Eaton said the company averages 10 to 15 setups per shift between the two P2 panel benders and two punching machines that make up a cell. The jobs are run according to length. For instance, the operator that runs all four machines in the cell will set up 36-inch parts and run all that size. Then a tool changeover will occur to run 42-in. parts.

As the policies published by Chinese government support domestic electric parking brake industry, both the foreign manufacturers and domestic manufacturers can get some favorable condition. The number of new competitors may be more and some may prefer to cooperate with foreign manufacturers to maximize the advantages of both sides.
