There’s plenty to like about Jeep’s decision to include the Wrangler’s heavier-duty Dana 44 axles on the basic Gladiators and include stronger Dana 44s on the Rubicon, but we it looks weird to us. Five lugs on the axles doesn’t necessarily communicate extra strength, and it’s something none of the competitors in the mid-size class have (they all show six). We know this is mostly about the towing and gross vehicle weight ratings, but if Jeep ever plans to offer an upgraded towing package, engineers might want to address this.

The seating position is horrible. The engine is under powered. The bodies and frames rust away. Little good an engine is if it has no home.

Man that is a nice saw. Not sure I need to go cordless for my table saw but this thing looks the part. Love the liberal use of real metal for gears, dust port etc… seems like it’s built to last. How long will that 12.0Ah battery last? Can it run on a jobsite (intermittently) all day? Seems like that would be the minimum.

I’m honestly 10x as interested in the mountain bike version, where I can still upgrade a non AXS Eagle bike to AXS for just a new derailleur and shift button. The road version just doesn’t offer a gearing combo that is an improvement over anything readily available, and the prices are eye watering.

5. The superb six-speed gearbox has had 5th, and 6th gears lengthened. With greater headroom comes the need for longer ratio gearing when holding the throttle wide open, on the massively long straightaway found at Mugello Circuit. Clicking through the gearbox is sublime, as its incredibly well-sorted thanks to the beautiful up/down quickshifter functions, one of the best I’ve used to date. The kill-times are matched perfectly for hard riding and not once did I find a false neutral. Just click a gear up or down, and you’ll be on your merry way.

So I have a question. The Q4 report were quite weak and a lot of that was due to those U.S. import tariffs and higher raw material prices. I had not expected you to compensate for those issues through price increases so quickly. So I’m a little bit curious how much of that is still to be compensated, if you understand what I mean.

Now, there is one big downside here: With the new chainring and DZero design for AXS, it comes as a single cohesive unit. This means you can’t swap the chainrings anymore. One could posit that means throwing away your power meter when you have to swap chainrings.

Triggers were mostly sized large enough for two fingers to fit on them, but the extra long trigger of the EGO saw had room for more which allows the user to vary their grip stance for comfort. The best feeling trigger was that of the EGO saw. It’s wide and flat, and when squeezed it retracts flush with the handle instead of leaving a raised bump your fingers have to push against.
