Bottle cages can also be used to fit a ‘tool keg or caddy’. This is essentially a water bottle with a wider circumference opening at the top to allow you to insert tools. Some, such as this one made by Fabric comes with an inner neoprene liner to prevent tools from rattling annoyingly on the plastic whilst riding. These are great if you are either not bothered about carrying a water bottle or if you have more than one set of bottle bosses.

If you’re locking the saw down on a benchtop, that’s all you’d need to worry about. We’re looking at the needs of the mobile contractor, so that means the stand has to be solid as well. On my first pass, I tried to make the TransBrake reflexive and probed the surface to see what sort of grip was available. After I’d heated the rear drag radials with a proper burnout, I could hear the tires crackling on the sticky rubbered surface, which had been sprayed with TrackBite, a resin compound that enhances traction. I read something on the SRAM website (although I can find it now) that implied the AXS front derailleur did micro-adjustments based on which cog you’re on in the rear cassette (like Di2). Did you notice if that was the case on you’re test ride? Also do you have any insight as to how this group would work with Rotor Q-Rings? I have Q-Rings with the original etap and have struggled to set it up so the yaw derailleur doesn’t rub. Looking forward to the in-depth review in a few months.
