To me it made little difference. I rode the bike with 700c wheels and tires between 30 to 40mm wide and there were no dramatic handling differences. The standover height was noticeable but not bothersome since I primarily ride cyclocross bikes.

Were you aware that cars built in Japan have far less steel in them. Apart from that we really should buy locally wherever we can if the dealers are reasonable on their markups. We also need ban left hand drive cars. They are a menace.

But the real big ticket item here for having a smartphone app at all, is the configuration of eTAP. Previously there was no smartphone app, again, putting them at a disadvantage compared to Shimano which allowed customization of shifting.
