Pros: High reserve strength, so you don’t have to baby the saw in heavy tasks; gives you enough feedback to determine the best feed speed; you can push harder, but the saw will stubbornly maintain its cut speed—much nicer in practical use than stalling; does it all with a modest-sized battery pack, so it’s the lightest high performance saw; high marks across the other ratings criteria too

The 40V model had a little bit of a stutter out of the gate, coming fourth place in the speed test with a significant gap to the top three. From there, it recovered nicely, scoring second place finishes in both runtime and battery efficiency. It is one of the heavier saws in the group but is near the top for ergonomics. Outside of the price, there’s little to complain about with this model.

When using the side extension, a tape moves along so you won’t have to remember what measurement to lock the fence on or read a double marked measurement guide. It’s an innovation we like, but there are questions as to the long term durability of the tape itself. Like Ryobi, Ridgid uses a magnetic throat plate to secure it while leaving access simple.

And then, as I said, the aftermarket is more or less onetime event. You have one opportunity and that is 1st of Jan when — or in Jan when you do a price list update, which, to be honest, have been very, very modest in North America the last few years. So I think the market accepted this time because everybody knows this. And then there is, again, it’s the business actually is at its peak in North America, so the acceptance for price increases were taken by the market.

No key required. The Corsair has a phone-as-key feature that’s activated through the Lincoln Way app. The phone can also store your preferences and set them up as you get into the vehicle. And of course you can remote start the Corsair, among other features.

To evaluate the performance of the saws, I first fitted them all with identical 24-tooth Irwin Marathon WeldTec blades to make sure I was testing the saws without any influence of the stock blades. The Festool takes special blades, so I used it with their own 18-tooth blades throughout the testing.

I’ve had everything but the calipers replaced. The Jeep even has a new master cylinder. I later went with a brake upgrade featuring larger rotors and braided stainless steel lines. The lines were my idea. I’ve put more than 250,000 miles on motorcycles. Braided stainless steel lines are always the first thing I change on a bike to eliminate hose expansion. The Jeep still has a spongy brake pedal. In all of the columns I’ve read in Jp regarding this specific year and model JK Unlimited Rubicon, I’ve never seen any mention of this problem with your project vehicles. Most that I’ve talked to say it’s normal for this year Wrangler, even the local dealer.

Look close to notice LED head lamps and small LED accent lights up front that echo the stamped sheet metal on the original. Key to the Bullitt is keeping it simple with a Mustang-less custom grille, 19-inch black five-spoke Heritage wheels, red Brembo brake calipers and integrated deck lid spoiler. No nonsense.

One of the interesting ramifications of this new groupset is the change to the XD (off-road) and XDR (on-road) driver body, which is the piece the cassette attaches to. With that change you’ll likely find that your existing direct drive trainer won’t be compatible with your new bike/groupset.  If you have a wheel-on trainer, then there’s no impact. Remember a direct drive trainer is one where you remove your wheel, like a Wahoo KICKR.

It’s funny how almost every photo is of the truck off-road, yet 1% of owners of this truck for off-road. Including the guy above! And I don’t understand who’s buying trucks for mpgs… Get something different if you want better mpgs.
